LOVE Island's Shaughna Phillips was today praised by fans for showing off her "real post-baby body"

The reality star, 29, also made a big announcement about a change she is making to her life.

The mum-of-one, who welcomed her daughter Lucia into the world in April, has been very candid about her weight, after she put on five stone during pregnancy.

Today Shaughna revealed she wanted to set a good example for her daughter, and reveal the "real her."

I really want to be the best role model I can be for Lucia.

She also said that going forward she would try "not to use filters" as she wanted to give a more honest representation of herself.

Dressed in an orange bikini, Shaughna addressed her followers, were she talked about all the positive feedback she had received from her fans.

She wrote a candid post next to clip which read: "I’ve been meaning to post this for aaaagesssss, and I just kept chickening out which sounds ridiculous but it’s the truth.

"This is not easy for me, it’s hard to just be yourself when social media can be SO cruel at times.

"Full disclosure, I’m not in the place I want to be physically, I have 'baby weight' to lose plus a bit more lol, but I’m not going to let my intrusive thoughts about how I look get in the way of me living my life.

"I really want to be the best role model I can be for Lucia, and I’m so determined that she won’t grow up with the same warped view on body image as I did, and that’s starts with me.

Last year, Shaughna was forced to hit back after being cruelly body shamed for putting on five stone.

The influencer, who shot to fame on Love Island in 2020, put a troll in their place over a nasty tweet.

They had written: “I mean you do need to get some weight off,” in a horrible jab.

Shaughna soon clapped back, writing: “Some people are so strange. Imagine going up to a stranger and saying this to their face lol.”
